About two months ago our family was shaken up a bit. A lot, really. Things that Stephen and I had been ignoring for years finally came to a head and needed to be dealt with. So we dealt with them. There was a lot of anger and frustration, but there was even more grace and forgiveness. How our relationship has changed in these last several weeks is seriously a miracle. And it’s so great living honestly and openly with each other.
I just wanted to get that out there. Prayer is amazing. We are living examples of restoration and redemption. One of the thoughts that I had while working though everything was this: The hurt is real. But so is hope. Hope is just as real as the pain is even when all we can feel is the pain.
I want to remember that.
